Cross Country is open to any and all students who enjoy running and who want to get better. Whether you've been running competitively for years or only running to the refrigerator durning commercials, we want you on the Cross Country Team! Cross Country starts in August and goes through the end of October.
If you're not sure if Cross Country is for you (or if you want to get a head start on training for the coming season) we have optional summer training on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30 at Donald Robertson City Park ( 244th & Halsey) in Wood Village. We meet at the NW corner of the park.
The first official practice is on August 13th at Corbett High School. From August 13th through the 24th practice will be from 6:00-7:30pm.
We will hold a parent meeting on the bleachers on Tuesday, August 14th from 5:15-6:00pm. During the meeting Coach will introduce himself to those of you he hasn't already met, answer questions parents/guardians might have, learn a little bit about each of you and go over some of coaches hopes and expectations for the coming season. If your students planning on joining Cross Country, please plan on being at the meeting.
Summer Training (optional, but strongly encouraged): August 2, 5,7, 9, 12 from 6:00-7:30pm at Donald Robertson City Park.
First Official Practice: August 13 from 6:00-7:30pm at Corbett High School.
Parent Meeting: August 14 from 515-6:00pm on the bleachers.
